I’ve earned a decent amount of money selling on Etsy.

So, if you’re ready to level up your Etsy store and attract a global audience without spending a single buck, then don’t miss out on this blog!

Can you guess the name of the free tool that we’re about to discuss?

Let me spill the beans without creating too much hype.

Our free tool is one and only Pinterest.

Yes! Pinterest is the absolute goldmine for creators in every niche.

Moving ahead, let’s see how you can use Pinterest to skyrocket your Etsy sales and establish your brand among your target customers.

There are two ways of using Pinterest for your Etsy store. First adding links to your Pinterest account and second integrating your Pinterest account to your Etsy store.

Adding Etsy Link to Pinterest Business Account

First go to https://in.pinterest.com/ , sign up for a business account.

You can add the link of your Etsy store in the bio section of your Pinterest account.

Go to your profile and click on the drop-down arrow, then click on Settings.

You’ll be redirected to the settings page, enter the URL of your Etsy store in the website box and voila you’ve linked both your stores.

Linking your Pinterest Account to Your Etsy Store

To link your Pinterest account to your Etsy store, go to Shop Manager, then on the left hand side, click on Integrations.

Once you click on Integrations, you’ll see the names of all the official platforms which are a part of Etsy.

Here, you’ll also see Pinterest. Click on the option and then claim your Etsy store.

So, the base work is done.

Now, to make sure that your Pinterest account helps you get more sales for your Etsy store, you need to follow some tried and tested ways.

I’m revealing 5 best tricks that have helped me boost my Etsy sales, even though I don’t offer that many products in my shop (Because I was just testing the earning potential on Etsy).

And I’m sure if you follow these tricks, then you’ll definitely see some positive results, just like me.

1. The Right Pin Crafting Strategy

Creating user-friendly and eye-catching pins is definitely an art!

And if you know this art, then you can surely see results like these on your Pinterest account.

Let me make one thing very clear, Pinterest is a visual search engine and you need to hook your target audience visually just like Instagram.

If the user gets attracted to your visual content, then only they will visit your profile.

To ensure that your pins are in accordance with the Pinterest algorithm, check out this article.

When you’re designing pins for your Etsy products, mockups play an important role and when it comes to creating mockups, nothing beats Placeit.

I’ve been using it for years and it’s by far the best mockup tool. Their mockup library is insane. You can also give it a try!

So, try to create a balance between the visuals of your products and the technical aspects of the Pinterest algorithm.

2. The Keyword Trick

Keywords are the key to succeed on any platform.

As stated earlier, Pinterest is essentially a visual search engine, and just like optimizing your Etsy listings, using the right keywords is crucial.

Incorporate relevant keywords in your pin descriptions and board titles to enhance discoverability.

Imagine yourself as your potential buyer and then think about the terms you (as a potential buyer) might use when searching for products similar to yours.

Being strategic with your keywords not only helps your pins show up in searches but also positions your Etsy store as a go-to destination for what pinners are seeking.

3. The Consistency Trick

When it comes to elevating your Etsy sales through Pinterest, a consistent pinning strategy is your secret weapon.

I know, you won’t see results as soon as you start pinning, but you have to be patient and keep doing the hard work.

As you know ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’ and every great thing takes time.

So, first of all, leave this notion of getting success in one day or one week.

Instead focus on your consistent efforts.

Consistency in pinning establishes a reliable connection with your audience, increasing the likelihood of your products being discovered and appreciated.

Not only the audience, even Pinterest also notices your hard efforts and they also give a boost to the account that pin on a consistent basis.

4. Find the Right Timing for Your Pins

Smart pinning is not just about how often but also about when.

Timing is everything, especially when it comes to maximizing the impact of your Pinterest strategy.

Posting pins at the right time can significantly increase your visibility, engagement, and ultimately, the success of your Pinterest marketing efforts.

Although, the best time to post on Pinterest can vary depending on your target audience and the type of content you’re sharing there are still some general guidelines you can follow to increase the visibility of your pins:

· Weekdays: Pinterest tends to be more active during weekdays, with Monday through Friday generally seeing higher user engagement. Consider scheduling your pins during these days.

·Morning and Evening: Many users tend to browse Pinterest during their morning and evening routines. Posting between 8 AM and 11 AM and then again between 6 PM and 9 PM in your target audience’s timezone can be effective.

· Weekend Mornings: Saturday and Sunday mornings can also be a good time to post since people may have more leisure time to browse and engage with content.

· Use Pinterest Analytics: If you have a Pinterest business account, you can access Pinterest Analytics to see when your audience is most active. This data can provide valuable insights into the best times to post specifically for your account.

· Consider Your Audience: The optimal posting time can vary depending on your target audience’s demographics and interests too! For example, if you’re targeting a primarily business-oriented audience, posting during typical work hours might be more effective.

· Seasonal Content: Depending on the nature of your content, you may also want to consider posting seasonally. For example, if you have holiday-related pins, it makes sense to schedule them closer to the relevant holidays.

5. Pin in Advance

Advance pinning is an all time hit formula for Pinterest success.

I myself tried this formula multiple times and it works. By using this formula I’ve managed to get more than 225k impressions (which are still counting) on a single pin.

So, coming back to the point.

Planning your Pinterest content two months in advance as an experienced Etsy seller offers the strategic advantage of aligning your products with upcoming seasons and trends.

For example, Christmas is coming and it’s definitely one of the biggest seasons of the year both in terms of profit and marketing.

If you visit Pinterest trends you can yourself see that people are looking for Christmas products.

I’ve already posted my Christmas products pins on Pinterest to get that momentum.

You can also do the same!

And, here're my final words: follow these 5 steps.

Stick to your niche, pin strategically, engage with finesse, monetize wisely, and see the cash roll in! 💸✌️

Happy Pinning.
