Sally Pointer is a UK based archaeologist, heritage educator, writer and hedge-botherer. Her diverse interests include the history and archaeology of costume, knitting, woven and braided textiles, dyes, soap, ancient cosmetics and plant uses. She's often found halfway through a hedge looking at something interesting, or in costume at an archaeological site teaching anyone who will pause long enough how to make string or brew something sticky. She also works with film and theatre as a consultant and specialist wardrobe wrangler, and has a YouTube channel where she shares traditional crafts and ancient skills (and the odd hedgebothering recipe).
