Hi, we’re so glad you’re here.

We’re Simon and Kym, a husband-and-wife team — a joiner and a former teacher — building a slower, more hands-on way of life with our three children by our side.

Sawdust & Kindling was born from a shared dream:

To create a home where learning happens through making, exploring, and connecting — not just from screens, but from real tools, real time, and real mess.

Right now, we’re not full-time home educators (yet), but we are passionate about living like makers — crafting a life rooted in creativity, family, and the freedom to grow together.

What We Offer
