Since March 23, 2020, I feel like I've been living in a wild card parallel universe to what I thought my life would be and look like.
This was the day I was sent home until further notice from the part-time job I had as an Office Assistant for a daycare center in the city of Detroit.
I had no idea that my hours would decrease significantly, nor did I know that I would still be required to be "on call" just in case...
This experience was truly a wake-up call for me to take my power back with my earning reality.
So I started doing everything to make more money. Websites, Graphic Design, Virtual Assistance, Talent management, and selling the oracle decks I wasn't using anymore. I also offered oracle readings, sold intention oils, offered reiki sessions and so much more.
My cash cow was websites and graphic design projects for billboards and other marketing collateral for a non-profit organization.
In 2021, It got even better (or so I thought), One day, in particular, I woke up with a notification that $17,426.00 was on its way to my account. That's the most money that I'd received at one time!
The following day I earned another $5K. At that point, I had to close my calendar and tell my business manager to stop accepting projects because it was going to be impossible to get more than the 8 projects I already had in the queue done.
But here's the thing about manifesting quick money wins in business....THEY DON'T LAST!!
After 2 trips, paying up on past due bills, and paying off credit card debt that had followed me since college.
Within a matter of 6 months, I had about $2,000 in my checking account and no time to reflect on what it was that I did exactly so I could do it again.
By the time I'd finished with all the projects that allowed me to earn that type of income. I spent 7-days in the hospital after having the worst abdominal pain and panic attacks.
Because I was burned out and overwhelmed with the demand my business had become.
I remember laying in the hospital bed and by Day 4 I promised myself I would only focus on doing the work that made me feel good in the end.
I had to accept that building websites and marketing collateral was not my purpose.
I vowed to never overwork for money ever again. I promised my nervous system and my mental health that I wouldn't put my body or my mind through that again.
The late nights of editing and long days full of meeting with clients who had no idea what they actually wanted to accomplish were behind me once I stepped out of that hospital.
Since then I've been on the journey of embodying the version of myself that earns with ease.
Since October 2022, it's been very slow but that's because I'm shifting into my purpose and what I came to this world to do and that's to inspire and help women transform their relationship with money and selling online.
I used to feel inadequate about feeling called to support people in developing their money mindset because I felt that I needed to be a millionaire already. But God continues to reveal that when you're called, it's your duty to answer!
Especially if you've been praying for clarity around your path and purpose.
I share this money story because...
I am no stranger to prosperity and manifesting financial breakthroughs because as I shared in the last money story...anything birthed from desperation will always be temporary.
