There's Nothing Like Giving Birth To New Ideas And Watching Them Hit A Milestone!
Listen ya'll, there are some people who know me in real life, some people who have just met my acquaintance, and some people who have been following me on social media for a loooooooooooong time! But the one's in real life and the OG's know! I done gave birth to ALOTTA babies! Some babies were miscarried, some were aborted, some were birthed prematurely, I had to bury a few, and each time it was painful, but a lesson nonetheless. If you haven't caught on, i'm referring to business ideas! Not actual little people, lol!
Nurturing The Newborns
There are literally so many distractions in a day. The need for structure and discipline is a daily challenge. Although i'm no longer employed, I don't knock anyone's hustle because it is easier to clock in and get paid a guaranteed check, and I see how it can be daunting for some to even consider starting a business. When you don't have anyone looking over your shoulder, keeping you on track, or have the fear of being replaced, because the only person who can fire you, is you...it's a different type of dedication. So having the babies are one thing, but nurturing them is a whole other thing. ok the business is here and now what?
Everything is Input/Output. You put in a little, you get out a little, and vice versa, ask me how I know. The Soft Life Society Co. motto is work smart, live soft. The work doesn't have to be hard but it must be consistent and strategic, this is a thing I myself struggle with from time. The balance of self care and nurturing the newborns. I gave birth to these new ideas and now I must feed them. They need my attention daily, I cannot starve them because if they starve, so do I. And I love to eat so that's not happening! Asé
A WIN IS A WIN!
I strive daily to keep up with trends, to build my Soft Life Community, to create content, to reach out to other creatives for collabs and network, researching and purchasing samples for new upcoming projects and all out of pocket while applying for grants, So whenever I get a notification that somebody made a purchase, somebody wrote a review and it was positive, somebody signed up as an affiliate, tagged me in a post, shared my site, whichever way they decided to show love and support, it makes my heart smile. Somedays are big hits, somedays are low or no hits, but I always factor in, if I put content out that day, what type? to which platform? was it one platform or multiple? Did I send out newsletters or SMS drops to the notification squad? if the answer is No, then i'm never surprised. But any day I make anything, is a win for me because it hit different when it's something you birthed, and you see it come into fruition and you know the more you grow, the higher you'll go.
