Ever feel out of sorts and not really understand why? Live long enough and you learn to trust your gut instincts beyond what you see. You can't quite put your finger on it, but that little something is more accurate in the long run than the stock market, hear say, and what ever else the crowd, government, or business is doing. You just learn to trust "it". What is it?
For starters, the calendar we use today is out of sync with the Original Calendar. The original original calendar was more aligned with the cosmos, nature, and humanity.
The world celebrated the New Year in March (Spring Equinox). That marked the new beginnings.
Everyone knew that Sunday was the first day of the week. Saturday was understood to be the Sabbath Day ( a day of rest). In fact, it's called Sabado (Sabbath) in Spanish and other similar Latin languages).
There were 13 months in the year. There were twenty eight days in a month like a woman's (menstrual) cycle. The extra days to balance out the full year and complete cycle rolled over into the thirteenth month. I'm not sure how many days that would be. But the number thirteen was considered holy.
Ancient Bibles recorded these things. Every family bible was also a family registry of births, deaths, marriages, history and so on.
Most bibles still maintain the tradition but few people use it in that way though the interior bible index still makes room for such information. And still few others pass along these family bibles (a.k.a family registries) as they once did to newlyweds or in their wills. It has since been replaced with government consensus and purchasing such information through ancestry websites and the like.
Farmers and astrologers could look up in the sky and tell what kind of crop the season would likely yield. They sought GOD for help. They prayed for rain.
The general desire for convenience and short sightedness has replaced seed baring fruited crop with genetically modified seedless fruit and vegetables. That means the crop is sterile.
Where farmers could once take a portion of the crop and re-seed, many now have to purchase seed from government storage to plant for a single season utilizing "government subsidies" to do so. Please support family owned farms. Many try to maintain the tradition of organic non genetically modified crops which are better for you and your family. Visit your local farmers market whenever you can. Look for locally grown or family owned farms in the grocery store when possible. It helps.
Spiritual gurus (rabbis and sages) recognized any accumulation of sin by the general population would result in a bad had harvest, famine and down turn in the overall economy. When the majority of the population was in sync with the Creator and the Laws therein, the harvest and economy would consequently yield an abundance of good.
This was not theory. They had learned from history. But since history has been altered, many are not aware of the cataclysmic events of the past caused by human behavior. And if we do not learn from the past, we are bound to repeat the same mistakes.
That is why we (humanity) received the 7 Noahide Laws as well as the Ten Commandments (aka recommendation or utterances) via Moses from GOD to humanity. They are basically the "tests" humanity failed in the past that had major consequences. The intention was and still is to avoid such errors in the future.
In spite of the extreme weather pattens (warnings) some view these Laws as simply being overly religious. However, they are spiritual laws and they over ride man's laws every time.
Everything in the universe has a rhythm. Some call it the song of the universe. Even you my friend have a song. We've said it before. Your purpose (reason for being here) is part of the great universal orchestra.
Your very DNA is attuned to the universe. When you are out of tune (not fulfilling your purpose), you feel it.
Most women did not doubt their natural instincts. In spite of the changes in the original calendar, many natural born females still follow their "women's intuition". Their bodily functions (when uninterrupted by medications, birth control, or hormone replacement) automatically align with the cycles of the moon.
One could argue that a lot of the mental illness being experienced by so many is not just the amount of time spent comparing themselves to others on social media, but in the very fact that we as a general population are out of sync with the natural order of the cosmos and thus our Creator. People are simply out of sync with their own spiritual nature.
Each person's birthday represents a full cycle for that man or woman. Many feel pressure to have accomplished something by that birthday. The pressure comes on within a month of two instinctively. What have you done to develop yourself since that last birth cycle? There is even a certain day of the week that is more productive for each person based upon the day he/she was born.
Don't let this distract you into following astrology That's not the point. That can lead a person into idol worship as man have before. But there are seasons in one's life.
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:" Ecclesiastes 3:1
God has cycles and appointed times/feasts and festivals for the general population each year as well. There are certain days of the week when the windows of heaven are more open than others (notably the Sabbath Day).
Then God said, “Let lights in the expanse of the sky be for separating the day from the night. They will be for signs and for seasons and for days and years. Genesis 1:14
However, in the Messianic Era, the Messiah says the gates of heaven will be open seven days of the week. That is to say that evil will be nor more. People will have greater access.
The gates will remain open. I'm not even sure what that means. But since we are in the month of Elul on the Hebrew calendar. I am reflecting on what the king told me when we met while he was "in the field".
So what the big deal about days, season, stars, the cosmos, the calendar and the Creator? It's about being intuitively aligned with your true and higher self.
There is man's way of corralling people for political and insidious reasons to control the general population usually for greed of some kind. Then there is God's way of getting people to align with their spiritual selves and thus their Creator to discover their purpose, meet their soul mate, and fulfill their life's mission which is to be at one with God.
So if you are feeling out of sorts, it is likely your soul telling you to get quiet and realign. Your mind, 
body, and soul has a perfect way of telling you when you are on track or not.
Illness is your body's way of telling you that you are out of harmony in some aspect of your life. It's often a warning.
There was a time (and it will return again) when a person would go to a sage to facilitate healing. An anointed sage could look at a person and see what is going on in his or her soul which is where all sickness begins and ends ... at the root. There must first be a cause.
Perhaps that person needed to forgive someone or end an unhealthy habit or obsession etc. Anger, bitterness, and sorrow are toxic to the mind, body, emotions, and soul of a person.
Your body/soul records everything. When people leave this world, the soul plays back every word, thought and deed to the Creator like a book. The soul can not lie.
Elul is the last month on the Hebrew calendar. This is a season when people of Hebrew faith (or anyone who so desires) goes before God to confess their sins. To be more accurate, one is to go to the person with whom there is or was a conflict and apologize for a misdeed or forgive. One can still do this even if the person who brought the harm has passed on. Forgive them and let go. They will experience their own judgement as we all do. No one can bypass the LORD.
Participate in your own healing and spiritual development. Don't be a victim. That is what GOD desires.
"For I know the plans I have for you", declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you a hope and a future:" Jeremiah 29:11
When that person appears before GOD during Yom Kippur, the person has hopefully already cleared up any issue for which he or she may have otherwise have been punished. No one wants that.
Every child want a good report and pleasurable reward. And we are all GOD'S children.
But learn we must. After all, earth is one big classroom. That is why we are all here.
One's financial status is also determined by GOD for the upcoming year. It's so much easier to go before God every day, week or season than waiting until there is an illness or the end of one's life.
Elul is a time of self-reflection and self-correction. Your physical, mental, emotional health as well as your financial well being is being determined.
The good news is that you are a participant. You can change and improve your fate.
Get quiet. Listen to your heart. Remember, your soul can not lie.
You may lie to others. But you can not lie to yourself or your Creator.
We are created in the image of GOD. When we align to the truth, we are a powerful and eloquent instrument (vessel) for our Creator who then resides or flows through us.
Align with truth, justice, fairness, kindness and goodness. Watch what happens.
I am confident that we (universal society) will realign the New Year with the March/Spring Equinox again. Meanwhile, have a happy healthy and prosperous year!
