Is GRATITUDE Really such a Sacrifice?

People often wonder what it will be like when Moshiach (Messiah) arrives. Better. Everything will be better. Some fear it will be archaic.

If you are reading this, it i(society) is already archaic. Anytime, society is not working together in a cohesive manner for the long term best interests of the whole with God's guidance, it's archaic.

Several far more advanced civilizations have come before us and have been destroyed for thinking they were so advanced they no longer needed GOD. (see Babylon, Atlantis, Egypt etc.) Even King Solomon traveled in a flying vehicle! Many historic records call it a "magic carpet".

Many (Hebrews) wonder if animal sacrifices will be reinstated to atone for sins etc. (See Psalm 50) Others (Christians/Catholics) believe or wonder if Jesus already (permanently) atoned for their sins. (See Ezekiel 28)

If that was the case, then Abel's death would have been enough. And it actually does count for something. Think about it the next time you eat your Matzah at Passover.

Moses changed Hosea (son of Nun's) name to Joshua before he sent the 12 chieftans of the tribe to spy out the Promised Land to prevent foreseeable pride and arrogance. The origin of the names Joshua and Jesus mean "YHVH is salvation". Neither Joshua nor Jesus is the true and Living GOD. Like Aaron, both served in the office of priests.

Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “We should definitely go up and capture the land, for we can certainly do it!” Number 13:30

Caleb and Joshua are the only two representatives of the 12 spies who come back with a positive report. YHVH guarantees the humble Caleb will see the Land of Milk and Honey.

Sometimes as people move forward there is a moment of stagnation. That pause allows the spirit of doubt "Amalek" the creep in if one is not fortified by daily demonstrations of faith. Here's what happened.

They said to each other, “Let’s choose a leader and let’s go back to Egypt!”
Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before the entire assembly of the community of Bnei-YisraelJoshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had explored the land, tore their clothes. They said to the whole assembly of Bnei-Yisrael, “The land through which we passed is an exceptionally good land! If Adonai is pleased with us, He will lead us into that land and will give it to us—a land flowing with milk and honey. Only don’t rebel against Adonai, and don’t be afraid of the people of the land. They will be food for us. The protection over them is gone. Adonai is with us! Do not fear them.” Numbers 14:4-9

Caleb didn't just sustain his faith for the mission on hand,. he remained connected to the living God. His faith was in God's ability not his own. God saw Caleb's heart and rewarded him as well as his entire lineage. Even when the inheritance usually came through the men, God blessed the inheritance upon Caleb's daughters too.

Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel. Joshua 14:14

It's important not to make advanced students your God simply because they know more or have achieved more than you. That applies to our blog posts here and elsewhere too. Again, consider us the "opening act" for the great era unfolding.

And we all remember the following: ".. I am the LORD your GOD, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery, you shall have no other gods before Me." Exodus 20:2-17 I'm pretty sure that's the first of the great 10 utterances YHVH gave to Moses to tell the people.

Unlike the Hebrews at Mt Sinai 3,000 years ago, most people today can read. Right? So I'll let you read it for yourself.

Many of you by now know that I really do know the real Moshiach. Aside from what is published in the Torah, I do not know his plan. I thought He was coming in 2018. But He is coming. And it does take preparation. So don't rush the process.

Reading the Torah regularly is a blessing. Use it. You may not always understand it. But your soul does.

I do know that the main form of sacrifice is praise and gratitude to the Creator as well as a sincere repentant heart when someone does wrong. The high holidays and festivals including Yom Kippur allows us to do an annual self-reflection.

The Creator wants us to continuously improve. That’s why we are here.

If it was a one and done situation, there would be no accountability. It is too late when we leave this world to atone and improve ourselves. We have an entire lifetime to improve our character and to stretch beyond our own abilities.

However, since no one knows how long we will be in this world, it is wise to utilize each day to do service in some way to our Creator. Acts of kindness rectifies our own souls. We become less selfish and egotistical and more aware and considerate of those around us.

Praise, gratitude, tithing, and good (charitable) deeds help keep a person connected to the Creator on a daily basis. It also feels amazing!

Sound too easy? It is the ultimate cure for depression. Teach your children early. They won’t be a headache to you and others later.

How we treat one another is more important than you think. Most people appreciate when others are kind towards them.

Most people know how to be humble when they need help. But can a person still be kind and considerate when all their prayers are answered, and there is an abundance of wealth? That is the true test of one’s character.

Here’s a list of sacrifices prescribed in the Holy Bible/Tankah. Feel free to print them out. Use anytime. Daily use preferred.

Get the idea? I know you do.

Do good. Do justice. Express gratitude daily. Be kind and generous (yet wise and discerning). Do good judgment. Praise your Creator. It reminds you that you didn’t accomplish anything on your own. God is always with you.

Still breathing? What a privilege. Thank GOD!

Have a great day. :-)

Shema Yisrael.
Adonai Elohim Eluheinu. Adonai Elohim echad.
Hear O’ Israel.
The LORD is our GOD. The LORD is one.

To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. Proverbs 21:3
