Israel - EXODUS – and The Birth of a Nation

Many people read the Bible (Tanakh), but few understand that the Book is unlike any other. Why? Because it is alive. It’s the only book that is always current. Whenever you open the Book it is current. Past, present, and future do not exist. It is above time and space.

That may be difficult for many to understand at first. But once it unfolds for you personally, you will understand it completely. That’s what makes the Torah portion, Terumah, in the Book of Exodus so important.

You can set yourself, your children and ancestors free. Whatever freedom means for you. You can get free from any place of limitation, debt, addiction, depression, disparity for you and your generations (past, present and future).

"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." Proverbs 4:7

Since the Book of Exodus is when GOD appears to ALL, it’s the portion that hovers powerfully over it’s readers and a congregation. It waits for those who see it to pull on the Promise. The LORD (YHVH) desires your attention (always) and participation so that spiritual freedom is real and lasting for you and your descendants. That means you must grasp it fully so you can then teach it to your children.

"Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation." Joel 1:3

The best way to learn is to participate. So you are given an opportunity to build your connection to Almighty God. It’s real. But it must be made real and personal to you.

The 600,000+ people who came out of Exodus went all the way to the border and stopped. They didn’t want to hear God’s Voice directly because it is so powerful. But rather, they wanted an interpreter, a middle man, so they asked Moses to do it for them. However, unlike all other “religions” or governments that make those who are lesser read or educated its subjects, YHVH wants to restore the people of Israel and those with them to a state of perfection. By that, I mean they need to re-connect their hearts and souls to Hashem a.k.a. YHVH (Almighty GOD).

"Happy is the one who has not walked in the advice of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners,

nor sat in the seat of scoffers. But his delight is in the Torah of Adonai, and on His Torah he meditates day and night.3 He will be like a planted tree over streams of water, producing its fruit during its season.

Its leaf never droops—but in all he does, he succeeds. The wicked are not so. For they are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand during the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For Adonai knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to ruin." Psalm 1:1-6

How? You re-connect by reading a portion from the Torah (Tanakh/Old Testament) daily and by keeping Shabbat. It refreshes and nourishes the soul. Understand that the Tanakh is a living Book. Therefore, you should converse and ask for understanding when needed.

It helps if you don’t have your heart filled with other distractions (sports, celebrities, fear of government, man or anything). The extreme obsession (love or fear) of anything other than YHVH (The LORD) is idol worship. You believe these people are more important than you in any way. They are not. You are very important to the Creator.

That said, the universe was constructed with the Hebrew alphabet (in its ancient form). Therefore, meditating on the Hebrew Letter YUD helps you connect your earth self to the higher-self. In addition, you restore God’s presence back to earth when you meditate on the Hebrew letter ALEF.

Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. Exodus 25:8

The Letter ALEF is comprised of two YUDS connected by the letter VAV in the middle. It's like connecting the Father and Mother, heaven and earth, Wisdom and Understanding.

Print the Hebrew Letter ALEF for each member of your household. Place it somewhere where you and they can see it daily. Also print the Tetragrammaton Name of GOD, YHVH in Hebrew, יהוה.

"And everyone who calls on the Name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, even among the survivors whom the LORD calls." Joel 2:32

It’s a daily reminder for each family member that GOD is your daily guide. GOD is not your genie.

Ask GOD for guidance in every area of your life. Whenever you close your eyes to the outside world and pray to God in your hear (meditate), your prayer is instantly heard. That's why it's so important not to have other obsessions (idols) in your heart to distract you. They block your prayers vying for your attention.

Children can learn (picture) this Name and Letters before they can read. And it stays with you and them and blossoms throughout their lives. It’s so easy even your toddlers and infants can participate. Place it in the room where they sleep or play. The life-long relationship has already begun in ways you can not imagine.

In that way, you are also participating in the great Tikkun Olam (healing the world). You are helping to build the great Mishkan on earth – a place for GOD to dwell.

Thought for the Day: Create a clean house for GOD to dwell.

Shema Yisrael. Adonai Eluheinu. Adonai echad.
Hear O' Israel. The LORD is GOD. The LORD is one.
