Any good parent would rather his/her children correct their own errors when it is brought to their attention rather than having to use the “rod of correction” to get them back on the good path for their own well-being. After a season of gentle corrections, those persons are either restored and allowed to progress/ move forward or they are corrected for their own personal growth and development.
Each person’s actions and thoughts have a ripple effect. What we see around us in regard to the weather patterns is simply the effects of the “collective majority” whether knowingly or unknowingly.
Therefore, tell the people: This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘Return to me,’ declares the LORD Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the LORD Almighty. Zechariah 1:3
Yom Kippur is an opportune season to re-align with the Creator. Anytime is good, but there are seasons when the windows of heaven open just a little bit wider. Yom Kippur is the ultimate one.
For those who are conscious (whether an Israelite or righteous Gentile) or desire to be more conscious, this is for you. No one is perfect. We each need only desire to be better than we were yesterday.
Ask for GOD's help. This is the goal.
Self-improvement is a real personal commitment. It’s not casual.
Before Moses publicized the Rules of Instruction to the former Hebrew slaves (during Shavuot – just after Passover), he told them it was a commitment. They responded by saying “We will do and we will hear”.
All of you are standing today before the LORD your God—you leaders of tribes, elders, officials, and all the men of Israel, 11your children and wives, and the foreigners in your camps who cut your wood and draw your water— 12so that you may enter into the covenant of the LORD your God, which He is making with you today, and into His oath, 13and so that He may establish you today as His people, and He may be your God as He promised you and as He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 14I am making this covenant and this oath not only with you, 15but also with those who are standing here with us today in the presence of the LORD our God, as well as with those who are not here today.
Deuteronomy 29:10-15
It’s like a divine a pre-nup agreement in that it is a commitment to LOVE your GOD with ALL your HEART. And in return, the LORD will be there to guide you – protect you – and prosper you. If receiving the Instructions was the Pre-Nuptial Agreement, then accepting it can be likened to a Marriage Contract.
You may not serve (LOVE) and other gods. Put no one before and/or fear (reverence) no one but GOD. When you get married, you release all your former "lovers".
We (the chosen people) are the bridesmaids. The Holy Spirit (a.k.a. Shekina/Shabbos Queen) is the Bride (our daily intuitive teacher). King Messiah is the Groom. When we read the TORAH, we connect (literally) to Him. It is likened to an embrace. He kisses us which is to say He puts His words in our mouths and hearts.
When we do this regularly (daily), we ensure that we are given another year of a good life (thus sealed in the Book of Life) It's a divine yet literally event. It's not the amount you read. It is the consistency thus daily commitment.
Start your day with your true Love. He will watch over you and your loved ones forever. Literally.
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth—for your love is more delightful than wine. Pleasing is the fragrance of your perfumes; Your Name is like perfume poured out. No wonder the young women love you! Song of Songs 1:1
Even when you perform your work/job, you seek GOD for help with getting a raise, promotion, or to perform your daily duties with excellence. When you truly LOVE someone, you make all your decisions with them in mind. It’s a perpetual “honeymoon phase”.
Remember when you first met the LOVE of your LIFE? Remember how you thought of that person constantly?
If you lose sight of why you first became enamored with that person, you can fall into a ritual. It can become monotonous. But when you ponder all the good each day, it (the goodness) grows.
The imperfections are minute. The other person will be more likely to hear/listen to your concerns when you have first been grateful for what ever good there is on a regular basis. It is how we (humans) are designed. We have to overcome our selfishness which is the need to receive and benefit only ourselves.
If you only criticize, the other person only hears you don’t love me. It’s especially so with children, immature people and/or egomaniacs. Everyone is or has been in one of those categories.
Therefore, it is a commitment to keep GOD at the forefront of your mind in all that you do and say. We do that by reading scriptures daily. It trains the mind/soul.
The LORD will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel and will settle them in their own land. Foreigners will join them and unite with the descendants of Jacob. Isaiah 14:1
That commitment means being honest. Speaking the truth with kindness whenever possible and repenting quickly when you do not. Being mature enough to accept the truth and acting upon it when you hear it/realize it to be so. Have integrity. Be faithful. You get the idea. It’s a for real marriage.
Once you’re married, it’s no longer this is mine and that is yours. This is ours. That includes our income.
That commitment includes giving the first tenth of your income (tithes) to your local synagogue so they may instruct/teach others the path to life. Don’t evangelize; let your actions do the talking.
When we are kind to others, we are being kind to GOD. We are merely vessels/ ambassadors of the blessing. The best way to learn is to teach. Teach your children with your actions. They will repeat what you do more than repeat what they hear. We all know that to be true.
“We will do and we will hear,” said the people (children of GOD) at Mount Sinai. I hope this makes sense.
But Ruth replied: “Do not urge me to leave you or to turn from following you. For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you live, I will live; your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Ruth 1:16
Please share this post with others who may also want to be a part of the collective worldwide improvement for the good according to the prescribed Instructions for a Good Life (TORAH) as set forth by the Creator of all that is was and shall be.
May this year prove to be a year filled with wisdom, love, understanding, good health, success and prosperity. May your name be sealed in the Book of Life for a sweet year ahead!

16 Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and do not be stiff-necked any longer. 17 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. 18 He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.
19 And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt. 20 Fear (revere) the Lord your God and serve Him. Hold fast to him and take your oaths in His Name. 21 He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes
