Welcome! I'm Krika Bradsher, founder of Sophia Sunflower Salon and creator of the MYHONEYCHILD® natural haircare collection.

For more than 25 years, I have been committed to one mission: helping women achieve healthy, beautiful natural hair through expert care, education, and personalized service. Long before natural hair became a movement, I dedicated my career to understanding the unique needs of textured hair and creating a space where every client feels valued, confident, and cared for.

At Sophia Sunflower Salon, healthy hair is never an afterthought—it's the foundation of everything I do. Every appointment is designed with your individual hair goals in mind, whether you're beginning your natural hair journey, maintaining healthy curls, caring for locs, restoring damaged hair, or simply looking for a stylist who truly understands textured hair.

My passion for healthy hair also inspired me to create MYHONEYCHILD®, a collection of products developed specifically for textured hair. What began with my signature TYPE 4 Hair Crème has grown into a carefully crafted line focused on moisture, nourishment, scalp health, and long-term hair wellness. Today, MYHONEYCHILD® products are trusted by customers across the United States and around the world.

In addition to serving clients, I have spent nearly two decades educating future cosmetology professionals. Teaching has allowed me to share my knowledge, mentor the next generation of stylists, and continue advocating for healthy hair practices within the beauty industry.

People often ask about the name Sophia Sunflower Salon. "Sophia" was inspired by the powerful character from The Color Purple, whose strength, courage, and determination have always inspired me. "Sunflower" represents growth, resilience, and the beauty that comes from proper care—qualities that reflect both my clients and my philosophy.
