What Affiliate Marketing Taught Me (And Why I Wish I’d Switched Sooner)

I don’t have anything bad to say about affiliate marketing. Honestly, it taught me more than I ever expected.

When I started, I could barely take a selfie — let alone film myself on camera. I didn’t like how I looked, and I definitely didn’t like how I sounded. But over time, I got more comfortable showing up. I stopped cringing at my own videos. Affiliate marketing gave me the confidence to be visible. To be myself.

Here’s a secret: I joined Farmasi… and I didn’t even wear makeup.

I learned how to apply foundation. I learned what contour and highlighter were. I still don’t wear much makeup — but now I can have a solid conversation about it. Skincare? That stuck with me, especially as someone who’s aging. I started paying more attention to ingredients, to collagen, and to routines that actually support your skin.

Affiliate marketing also gave me digital skills. I learned how to write posts, how to create graphics, and how to show up consistently online. These are all things that help me today as a UGC creator.

So no, I don’t regret my time in affiliate marketing. I just wish it hadn’t taken me so long to realize I could get paid directly for creating content — without chasing team bonuses or hitting monthly goals that only moved the finish line.

If I could go back, I wouldn’t erase the experience. I’d just shorten the journey.

You don’t need to build another funnel. You don’t need to recruit your sister.

I made something that actually pays me for what I create. This $12 guide shows you how I did it — and how you can too.
