Why I Left Affiliate Marketing and Started UGC Instead

I’ve tried a lot of things over the years to make extra income — affiliate marketing, MLMs, direct sales. If you’ve ever been in that world, you know how exhausting it can be.

For me, it started with Farmasi. I gave it everything I had for over two years. I made bundles, went to craft fairs, created holiday packages — I really thought it would work. And even when the money wasn’t coming in, I didn’t quit. I believed if I just worked a little harder, it would turn around.

So instead of walking away, I added more.

Next came a Canadian jewelry brand based out of British Columbia. The pieces were beautiful. I paid out of pocket to get a few starter items, made content, posted on social media — but again, no traction. I couldn’t get anyone to buy.

Still hopeful, I tried leggings. Bought into the brand, ordered inventory, set up booths at events, and yep — more craft fairs. I kept showing up. I kept trying. But nothing worked.

I don’t know if it was the products or my sales approach, but after all that effort with very little return, I was drained.

But I wasn’t ready to give up entirely.

So I pivoted — slowly — into content creation. I started filming mostly skincare products. PR packages. Free collaborations. I did way more than I should have without getting paid… but I was finally doing something I enjoyed. Something that felt like it had potential.

That’s when I stumbled across UGC — user-generated content. I didn’t understand what it was at first. I went down every rabbit hole:

🔍 What is UGC?

📩 How do I pitch?

💰 Can I actually get paid for this?

😩 What should I say? Where do I start?

It was overwhelming. Every creator online seemed to have a different opinion or strategy. It was chaos trying to figure out who to follow, what worked, and what was just noise.

And that’s why I made my guide.

It’s everything I wish I had when I started. Not hype. Not fluff. Just a real, beginner-friendly breakdown of how I went from free skincare videos to getting paid to create content — no audience required, no bonuses to chase, no recruiting anyone else.

It’s the guide I wish someone handed me when I was still at those craft fairs wondering what I was doing wrong.

And honestly, it’s worth way more than $7. But I kept the price low so that anyone who’s been in the same place I was can grab it and finally start building something that pays them for their effort.

If you’ve been spinning your wheels with affiliate links, MLMs, or direct sales, I see you. You’re not lazy. You’re not doing it wrong. You’re just in a system that’s not built for you to win.

There’s another way.

And it’s waiting for you.

I wrote this for anyone who’s sitting there thinking, “There has to be something better.”

The guide is $12. The first step is clicking.
