HOW GOD MET ME AT THE WELL

Hi Worthy Woman,

At the beginning of 2025, I told God, “I want to get back to Tameika.” I was so used to running around for everybody else that I had to ask myself when I’d last made time to show up for me.

Then in April, I had a concussion, and my life slowed down in a way I hadn’t planned. During my recovery, I kept coming back to Psalm 23, especially the words, “He maketh me to lie down.” I’d read that verse before, but it hit differently when I was the one who had to lie down. I was used to being the woman who got up and figured it out. Now I had to learn how to be still and let God care for me.

As I made more room for prayer and worship, I started thinking about the women who knew that same kind of tired. The woman who can pray for everybody else but can barely find the words for herself. The woman who loves God and still wonders where He is in the middle of what she’s walking through. I knew that woman because I’d been her.

Three words kept coming up as the vision took shape: Women. Wilderness. Worship.

I started sharing worship videos, often right from my car. I’d turn on a song and invite women to worship with me. Then came the bold prayers. And I kept thinking, What if there was somewhere we could come back to when the video ended? Somewhere we could keep praying, share what God was doing in our lives, and be honest about the parts we were still walking through? That’s how The Well of Worthy Women came to be.

I think about the woman at the well in John 4. She came to draw water, and Jesus met her right there in the middle of her ordinary day. That’s what I want you to remember when you come here: you can meet with God in the middle of the life you’re living today.

I’ll use this space to share what I’m learning, what I’m praying through, and the Scriptures I keep coming back to. And if you need somewhere to begin, I created a free five-day devotional called Come to the Well. You can find it under Resources and start with one quiet moment with God today.

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here, Luv. There’s room for you at The Well.
