Praise Comes Before the Blessing.
The first time we ask in prayer, it’s a request. After that, what was originally “a request” we should convert over to a mindset of praise. I believe the reason He wants us to focus on praise and gratitude is because it is a tremendous sign of our trust and belief in Him. The praise denotes our realization that He not only loves us, but He is also taking care of us, meeting our needs, and is elated about our prosperity.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. v. 6
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. v. 7 Philippians 4:6, 7 KJV
Are You Already in a State of Praise?
I totally believe you when you say you’re already a praiser and worshipper of Him. I’m aware that there are those who spend an hour and sometimes more time singing praise and worship songs to Him. If you still don’t yet have the manifestation of your request, my question is, “what do you say and do after your time of praise?”
Because complaining, moaning, murmuring, etc. can void out some (if not all) of the time you just spent in prayer and praise.
The Way To Accelerate Answers to Prayer
Willing to Wait.
One of the ways to bring your prayer into manifestation is to know within your spirit, state out loud, and reveal to those around you that you truly believe is to show that you’re willing to wait on Him. And you’ll keep praying, studying the Bible, remaining in trust until you see what it is you’re waiting for. See Psalm 27:14.
Sometimes, the waiting period is just a test. When you pass that test, you are promoted and go on to grow spiritually with new and different lessons.
Counter the Negative with the Word.
The more Word we have in us, the more we’ll respond to challenges from a position of belief and not doubt.
I heard someone say a long time ago, for one statement of complaint, we should try to say ten things that show we just reversed it. I'm not saying you have to say ten different statements out loud; perhaps 3 to 5 will do. Let me give you an example here: You just came out of a deep time of worship for who God is and how He provides for you. Then you make the mistake of thinking and saying:
“I’ve been waiting for an answer to this prayer for over a year now. When is He going to come through for me? I am loyal, I give, I serve, I pray and yet I don’t have my prayers answered!”
Now that negative statement needs to be counteracted by saying something from the Bible like one of these sentences:
- I trust in the Lord, and do good; so I shall dwell in the land, and verily I will always have all my needs met. Psalm 37:3
- God’s Word is steadfast and reliable, therefore, I delight in the Lord and He gives me the desires of my heart. Psalm 37:4
- All things work together for my good because I love the Lord and I’m called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
- I praise God that the Bible says, “The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord do not lack any good thing.” That means I don’t lack anything I need or want. I am in the overflow of good things. Psalm 34:10
Stay in faith and stick with the Word which says "you’re an overcomer" and you will soar higher than you ever imagined!
