The Blessing is Your Birthright.
God loves to take care of His people. His will is that we succeed. The Bible says, “God is love.” See I John 4:8. As a loving God. He cares, nurtures, teaches, guides, and meets our needs. There are hundreds of Scriptures that show God is a provider and delights in our prosperity. He will never stop providing for His children. Let’s review the information below to see a few of those ways.
God Won’t Permit His People to Go Hungry.
As you’re reading these Bible verses, please remember that God can lead us to water, but He can’t make us drink. Another words, He speaks and gives us promptings by the Holy Spirit, but we need to yield to His direction in order to walk in all the provision He desires for us.
God will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish. Proverbs 10:3a KJV
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. Psalm 37:25 KJV
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. Psalm 34:10 KJV
God Delights in our Prosperity.
Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. Psalm 35:27 KJV
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17 KJV
18 Day by day the Lord observes the good deeds done by godly men,[b] and gives them eternal rewards. 19 He cares for them when times are hard; even in famine, they will have enough. Psalm 37:18 to 19 TLB
Ask and You Shall Receive.
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? Matthew 7:7 to 11 KJV
God Supplies All Your Needs.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 KJV
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. II Corinthians 9: 8 to 11 KJV
Why Does God Provide For and Bless Us?
A. God loves us with an everlasting love. See Jeremiah 31:3. God made us in His image and likeness. See Genesis 1:26. God breathed the breath of life into Adam and that same breath is in us today! See Genesis 2:7. We are God’s creation. We are products of His creativity and genius. See Ephesians 2:10. When you have a baby, you care for, nurture, and provide for him/her because you love your child. We are God’s children so He will never stop loving us -- His people who look up to Him, serve Him, worship Him, and obey Him. See Deuteronomy 28, Job 36:11, and Psalm 34:8, 9.
B. It’s part of the blood covenant Jesus established with his death, burial, and resurrection.
C. In the Old Testament, the oldest got the blessings of divine inheritance. He or she was the first born, and because God is big on “firsts,” that child received the blessing that the other children could not receive. Note, it doesn’t mean the other child or children were not blessed. It’s just that the oldest child had a very special blessing.
D. Jesus is the first born from the dead, so we being in Christ, receive all the blessings of this New Covenant that was and is recognized through Jesus’ obedience to God concerning the cross. See Colossians 1:18.
E. Through divine election, all born again Believers have a right to all the blessings of this new and better Covenant. See Ephesians 1:3 and Hebrews 8:6.
1] Divine Election is the process by which God selects people to gain his favor before they have done anything right or wrong. It is a decision that is made entirely by God's sovereign grace. This is not because of anything the person has done or will do, but because of God’s foreknowledge and ability to see into the future and know who will accept His love and grace. See Jeremiah 1:5, Romans 9:10, 11, Romans 9:16, Ephesians 1:4, and I Peter 1:2.
Summary
It is God's good pleasure to care for His people. He wants us to succeed because "God is love." He takes care of, raises, instructs, counsels us, all while providing for our needs. God is a provider and takes pleasure in our wealth, as evidenced by hundreds of Scriptures. He will continue to care for His children forever.
Blessings,
Tanda
