People Have Pleaded the Blood of Jesus for Centuries.
Everything we do as Believers is done: 1) To bring praise to God, 2) By faith, 3) In the name of Jesus, and 4) For the upbuilding of His Kingdom. We approach God as our heavenly Father because He made us in His image and likeness, we are His children, and He loves us very much. There are tons of Christians that use the phrase, “I plead the blood of Jesus over this situation,” or “I plead of Jesus against disembodied spirits sent against us…”
- We Have the Right to Use the Blood of Jesus.
Today Jesus’ followers, like in Bible days, have the authority to use the name of Jesus and the blood of Jesus. When Jesus rose from the dead, he rose with all power. He triumphed over death and sin. Colossians 2:15. Whenever we use the name of Jesus or the blood of Jesus, we’re reminding all opposing forces that we too triumphed when Jesus rose from the dead. As the Body of Christ, we operate in the same authority that Jesus would operate in if He was walking the earth now. See John 14:12.
- How to Apply the Blood of Jesus.
When you’re praying for yourself, someone else, or anointing your home, car or business with the intention of applying the blood of Jesus, you can use these steps [reiterated from above]:
1. Praise God for the power in the blood of Jesus and the name of Jesus. Psalm 100:4, 5, Hebrews 13:15 to 17
2. Apply the blood or plead the blood of Jesus by faith.
3. Remember to use the blood in the name of Jesus.
4. This is done for our benefit, but for God’s glory and the upbuilding of His Kingdom. God wants a Kingdom of people on earth who walk in safety, live in blessings, and exemplify His character.

Jesus is the Final Sacrifice. When Jesus offered himself on the cross, his blood that was poured out for us, removed the power of sin. He came to put away sin by sacrificing himself. See Hebrews 9:20 to 28.
The Blood of Jesus Still Speaks. The blood of Abel spoke from the ground after his brother Cain killed him. The blood of Jesus speaks even more and for all eternity. Hebrews 9:15, Hebrews 11:4, Hebrews 12:24, 25
