Remember to Spend Time in the Lord’s Presence.

Keep Christ in Christmas.

Christmas can be such a hectic time. You’ve got the hustle and bustle of gift shopping, decorating, cooking, entertaining guests, and the list goes on. I wanted to use this space to encourage you to get in the presence of the Lord. Perhaps you already spend time in prayer, worship, and the Bible and that’s fantastic.

Mary and Martha’s Visit with Jesus

In the story of Martha and Mary, Martha was encumbered with many tasks regarding serving. Martha asked Jesus if he cared that Mary had left her to serve alone. Jesus said, “Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” [verses 40, 41]. See Luke 10:38 to 42 KJV for the entire account about this.

Jesus’ response shows that Mary spending time with Jesus was the “needful” thing to do. Time in the Lord’s presence brings a refreshing, strengthening, healing, wholeness, and a lot more. As we put Jesus first, all that we need will be added to us.

And remember, Jesus is the reason for the season. Always keep Him on your mind.

Merry Christmas!
