Introduction.
Understanding who we are in Christ Jesus and the power we possess in Him, our Lord, is essential for us as Believers. This enables us to inherit and manage our inheritance as God's children and live the life that Christ calls us to live here on earth.
When you hear about Christians talking about the power that’s in the Blood of Jesus, we’re referring to the blood that Jesus shed on Calvary’s cross during His crucifixion. In the Old Testament, we found out that the blood speaks from the ground when Cain slew Abel. See Genesis 4:10. The blood of Abel was crying out from the ground for vengeance. After Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection, the blood gave us salvation, freedom from sin, healing and many more blessings.
Benefits of the Blood.
How much more does the blood of Jesus still speak today if Abel's blood spoke and God heard it? Jesus Christ's blood serves as proof in the heavenly courts that it is the ultimate and total atonement for all of humanity's sins. When Christians invoke the power of the Blood of Jesus, they instantaneously eradicate any adversary forces attempting to attack them.
There could be hundreds of benefits that we have in the redeeming power of the Blood of Jesus, but we’ll focus on six benefits here.
1. Accepted into the Family of God. Accepted in the Beloved. Transferred Kingdoms. Ephesians 1:5, Romans 8:15, Romans 8:23, John 1:12., 1 John 3:2
2. Forgiven and Set Free: Redeemed, Delivered. Galatians 4:4, 5, Galatians 5:1, Romans 8:1, 2, Ephesians 4:32, Colossians 3:13
3. We’re Cleansed. New Regenerated Spirit – Born Again. Romans 5:9, Colossians 1:20, Hebrews 9:14, Hebrews 13:12, 1 John 1:7
4. Protection: Sealed by the Holy Ghost. Psalm 107:2, Romans 5:9, Ephesians 4:30, Hebrews 9:12, Revelation 5:9, Revelation 12:11
5. Authority: Boldness and Aid of the Holy Ghost. Luke 10:19, Mark 16:17, Ephesians 6:10, 1 John 5:4
6. Overcomer: Given Power Over All Enemy Forces. John 16:33, 17:1 to 26, 1 John 2:13, 14, 1 John 5:5
How to Invoke the Power of the Blood
• To utilize the Blood of Jesus, we should be authorized or have the divine permission. This is only possible when we enter into the family of God and His blood Covenant by accepting Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross for all of mankind’s sin. Receiving Jesus Christ as Savior is Step Number 1. We should then go on to study and understand our Covenant blessings and responsibilities. See Matthew 28:18,19, Luke 10:19, Ephesians 1:20, 21, Ephesians 2:6 and Philippians 2:10.
• Emphatically proclaim the Blood of Jesus Christ in opposition to satanic forces. I Plead the Blood of Jesus is a spiritual term used against the powers of darkness. It is not an exact quote from the Bible, but inferred based on the following:
“The Significance of Blood in the Bible
The importance of blood in the Bible is established from the earliest scriptures. Blood is often associated with life and atonement for sin.
Old Testament Foundations
In the Old Testament, blood sacrifices were central to the Mosaic Law. Leviticus 17:11 explains, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.” This principle established the foundational concept that blood is required for the atonement of sin.
The Concept of “Pleading the Blood”
While the phrase “pleading the blood of Jesus” is not found in the Bible, its practice is inferred from the powerful and protective nature of Jesus’ blood as demonstrated in scripture. Pleading the blood is essentially invoking the power and protection of Jesus’ sacrificial blood in various aspects of life.” (BibleAsk.org)

Summary.
Although Pleading the Blood is not a phrase found in the Word, it is based on Scriptural principles.
If Abel’s blood spoke and God heard it, which it did, how much more does the blood of Jesus speak still to this day? The Blood of Jesus Christ is evidenced in the Bible and the Courts of heaven that His blood sacrifice is the final and complete sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. When Believers use the Blood of Jesus by invoking the power of the Blood, it instantly nullifies enemy forces who are trying to assail themselves against you.
Blessings,
Tanda
