You Have Been Sealed By God.

God’s People Are Marked By Him.

Did you know that you’ve been marked by God? The Bible says in Ephesians 4:30 that we are sealed unto the day of redemption. What is this mark or seal and what does it mean? Think about a “seal” in the natural as we look at these three illustrations.

1.    Protection and Preservation: A jar is sealed to preserve freshness, lock in flavor, and protect the contents of that jar.

2.    Identification and Authorization: A company’s corporate seal is an “identifier” that says this document belongs to them. They initiated it, authorized it, and backed it up with their seal which assures the document is authentic.

3.    Ownership: Most people’s birth certificates in the U.S. have a seal. Many people have their birth certificate authenticated which serves as proof that the person bearing the name on the certificate is him and he owns it.

God’s seal means protection, provision, blessing, and insight into the secret things of the spirit realm. But more than anything it means that God’s hand is upon you and He has approved you. And it means we belong to Him. He is the originator of our lives and has anointed us as one of the many proofs that His mark is upon us.

Scriptural Proof We're Sealed.

30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30 KJV

And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. Revelation 7:2, 3 KJV

God Knew Who Would Yield to His Call; He Sealed the Chosen Ones.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. Romans 8:29, 30 KJV

Summary.

You have been sealed from the time you received Jesus as your personal Savior and that seal lasts to the Day of Redemption. That means you’re divinely protected, authorized to do His will, and blessed with all spiritual blessings. See Ephesians 1:3.

You’ve been hand-picked by God. He loves you – you are the apple of His eye. He chose you. See John 15:16. And not just you, but He chose all those who are in the Body of Christ. He already knew who would love Him, pray, study His Word, serve Him, and yield to the leading and promptings of His Spirit. That’s why He called, justified, and then glorified those who would yield to the call. You’ve been marked by God for many blessings.

Blessings upon you,
