Well, now young writers can become inspired by many short stories, colourful books, and even movies.
What kinds of ways can we stimulate creative ideas in kids, and how can we make them write more...and enjoy it?
Why not try starter activities, like writing a word on a slip of paper or the board, and getting everyone to use it in a sentence?
One of the most fun activities that I love to use regularly, I learned from a famous author who gave a talk in my secondary school as a child. It was so good, that when I started teaching I used it as soon as I could make it relevant.

Visual prompts, objects, and even poetry can inspire learners to develop ideas around a theme until they are confident when writing from scratch.
However we start, all ideas should be encouraged, and learners should be given good writing examples to develop strong writing skills and a love for literacy.
