Data Emerging

With the current public agenda siphoning data; from every user's device. The question is, who is cashing in on customers' ideas and thoughts? Individuals who have helped Ai grow & emerge aren't receiving a payout. Hear me out before you believe I am speaking about associates at Google or other tech companies. I'm speaking for the people, our everyday samaritans, who use their devices as entertainment or work but have nonstop data extracted from their searches. The purpose of user data transfer is to gain a system that we know is ultimately reshaping the workforce as we know it. Being a mobile user is like teaching a kid marvelous things for the future but having no ability to have a stake in what happens or the satisfaction that you helped it achieve those milestones. We all are the parents of technology by using our devices that will continue to grow long after we have passed. Since 2020 due to COVID, the world has become more digital at a rapid rate.

Data streaming has become a way of life at home and within business decisions. User subscriptions for streaming services increased by over 400% within the last decade. Spoken by McKinsey analysis Roughly 46% of people are subscribed to a digital media service. IEA (International Energy Agency) predicted mobile internet users to expand from 2020s 3.8 billion to 5 billion by 2025. Currently, we have crushed that number after closing 2022 with 4.97bn. The digital subscription market is worth $650bn while expected to reach $1.5 trillion by 2025. Almost 75% of consumers prefer paying for what they use over a one-and-done flat fee. As you can see, technology is growing at an unstoppable rate!

With those stats, let us delve into what businesses in this cash crop are profiting off user data in this tech industry and how consumers can make themselves profitable. We all know social media is a giant data collector of all forms. The top 3 Facebook, Instagram, & TikTok collect data regarding face, environment, product, and voice data recognition and also access to your image library and contacts. These companies charge nothing but take everything they can "to provide a better service." The social media market value in 2023 is $231.1bn. Moving forward, it is noticeable the outcome of all this, in the long run, will be social media becoming a big brother or the eye in the sky, as some call it.

Advancing forms of tech on this level also gives us rewarding options to show creativity. FaceMash launched in 2003, then changed the name to Facebook, which began in 2004 and is available in 157 out of 167 countries with 2.96bn active monthly users. While TikTok is available in over 150 countries, with a staggering billion-plus users amassed by early 2022. That says a lot from a company that arrived in the field in 2016. Mobile users have endless possibilities to find income streams from data streams. The money is there, as well as the audience. Now is the time to put your data to work and showcase how you can be profitable in this growing industry while living your best life. Choosing the right platform, well, that's where things will always get tricky.
