AI Isn’t What Scares Me

Hello everyone,

Have you ever been in a position where you don’t know what’s going to happen next… but you’re scared either way?

That’s honestly how I feel about this whole AI era.

And before people start assuming things, no, I’m not sitting here terrified of robots taking over the world like some Terminator movie 😂

That’s not what scares me.

What scares me is people refusing to learn.

That part keeps bothering me more and more the deeper I get into my AI journey.

I started learning about AI last year because I realized something important:

Whether people like it or not, AI is here.

Not coming.

Not “might happen.”

Not some future thing our grandkids will deal with.

It’s here right now.

And knowing how to work with AI is quickly becoming a real skill—just like learning computers was, learning the internet was, or learning social media was.

The people who learn how to adapt usually find opportunities.

The people who refuse usually get left behind.

And honestly? That scares me.

Because the more I learn about AI, the more powerful I realize it actually is.

At first it felt exciting.

Creative.

Helpful.

Like this cool new tool that could help people save time, make money, learn faster, build businesses, create content, organize their lives, and do things they never thought they could do before.

And it still is all of those things.

But it’s also moving FAST.

Like… scary fast.

Every single day there’s a new AI tool.

A new update.

A new breakthrough.

A new company.

A new way jobs are changing.

And while all of that is happening, there are still so many people refusing to even look at it because they’re scared, uncomfortable, stubborn, overwhelmed, or convinced it “won’t affect them.”

But it will.

It already is.

And the truth is, ten years from now, the people who refused to learn anything about AI are probably going to feel the consequences of that decision hard.

Not because they’re stupid.

Not because they’re lazy.

But because the world does not slow down for people who refuse to adapt.

History has shown us that over and over again.

And as somebody who grew up poor and as a minority, I know firsthand what happens when people feel pressure on their necks and their backs against the wall.

I’ve seen desperation.

I’ve seen survival mode.

I’ve seen what fear and lack can make people do.

That’s why this AI shift worries me so much.

Because I think we’re heading toward a huge divide between the people who learned how to use these tools and the people who didn’t.

And whenever big economic or technological shifts happen, the people already struggling usually get hit the hardest.

That’s the part people don’t want to talk about.

Everybody keeps debating whether AI is “good” or “bad” when honestly I think that’s the wrong conversation now.

AI is a tool.

And like every powerful tool, it can help people or hurt people depending on how it’s used.

The internet did that.

Money does that.

Social media does that.

Even religion and politics do that.

The real question is:

Are we preparing ourselves for the world that’s already forming around us?

Because pretending AI doesn’t exist is not going to stop it from changing things.

And I think some people are making the mistake of treating AI like it’s optional when really it’s becoming foundational.

That doesn’t mean everybody needs to become programmers or tech geniuses either.

That’s another thing I wish people understood.

You do not have to become some Silicon Valley computer wizard to benefit from AI.

You can use AI for:

  • business,
  • resumes,
  • budgeting,
  • content creation,
  • learning,
  • homeschooling,
  • organization,
  • marketing,
  • meal planning,
  • productivity,
  • studying,
  • brainstorming,
  • customer service,
  • side hustles,
  • automation,
  • and honestly almost every industry at this point.

That’s why I keep learning.

Not because I think I know everything.

Trust me, I absolutely do not 😂

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know.

But I’d rather feel uncomfortable learning than comfortable being left behind.

And honestly? Learning AI has also taught me something deeper about myself.

I’m adaptable.

I always have been.

Survival forced me to become that way.

When you grow up struggling, you learn how to pivot, adjust, figure things out, and survive in changing environments.

So while AI scares me, it also excites me because I see opportunity in it too.

Opportunity to teach.

Opportunity to build.

Opportunity to create freedom.

Opportunity to break generational curses.

Opportunity to help my kids and future grandkids have a fighting chance in a world that is changing faster than most people are emotionally prepared for.

That’s why I’m doing everything I can to learn about AI and teach anybody willing to learn alongside me.

Because knowledge is power… but shared knowledge is survival.

And honestly, I think a lot of people’s fear around AI is really fear of feeling replaceable, outdated, or left behind.

I get that fear.

But I also think humans are more valuable than we realize.

AI can generate information.

But humans create meaning.

AI can automate tasks.

But humans create connection.

AI can imitate emotion.

But humans actually feel it.

At least for now 😂

So no, I’m not anti-AI.

And I’m not blindly pro-AI either.

I’m realistic.

The world is changing.

Fast.

And I want to be prepared instead of panicked.

So if you’ve been scared to learn AI, this is your sign to stop running from it and at least become familiar with it.

You don’t have to master it overnight.

You just have to start.
