Okay, I have officially found a gift for the person who has everything except a sense of dignity about getting older. π
It's called OldAsspirin.
And no, this is NOT actual medicine. It's a novelty candy gift that looks like somebody raided the pharmacy and decided to replace the medication with jelly beans and an attitude problem.
So What the Hell Is OldAsspirin?
This ridiculous little gift comes packaged like a prescription medication, complete with a fake pill box, prescription-style bag, label sticker, and jelly beans inside.
The whole thing is designed to look like some sort of very serious pharmaceutical solution to the inevitable side effects of getting older.
Except instead of actual medication, you get delicious mixed-fruit jelly beans.
Which, frankly, sounds like a much more enjoyable prescription. π
And the fake prescription label takes the whole thing straight into ridiculous territory.
It recommends taking one tablet with water and a pinch of salt β without exceeding your daily dose of giggles.
Best taken in the company of friends or family for maximum hilarity.
πππ
I mean⦠WHO COMES UP WITH THIS SHIT?
The "Side Effects" Are the Best Part π
The packaging plays off the whole aging-and-medication joke with fake claims about dealing with things like forgetfulness, back pain, wrinkles and general grumpiness.
There's even a warning about extreme laughter.
So basically, somebody took the stereotypical "getting old means taking a million pills" joke and turned it into candy.
And I have to admitβ¦
They nailed it.
π Who Would You Give This To?
This is one of those gifts where the person matters more than the actual occasion.
It would be hilarious for:
- Someone turning 40, 50, or 60
- A retirement party
- A birthday gift for somebody who loves sarcastic humor
- A white elephant gift exchange
- Secret Santa
- A coworker who is always complaining about getting old π
- Dad or Mom
- A friend who can take a good roast
- The person who insists they don't need anything for Christmas
And honestly, I think the retirement gift potential here is pretty damn strong.
You could hand somebody this "prescription" and watch them try to figure out what the hell they're looking at before they discover the candy inside.
π It's the Kind of Gift People Remember
This isn't one of those gifts that gets opened, politely smiled at, and immediately forgotten.
It's the kind of ridiculous little thing that gets passed around the room while everybody reads the packaging.
And because it comes in its own pharmacy-style packaging, you don't even have to do much to make it gift-ready.
Throw it in a stocking.
Put it on a birthday table.
Stick it in a Secret Santa pile.
Or hand it to somebody and say:
"I got your prescription filled." π
That's basically the entire gift presentation right there.
π§° Why This One Made It Into My Treasure Chest
This is exactly the kind of random-ass treasure I love finding.
It's not something anybody needs.
It's not trying to solve some giant household problem.
It's just funny.
And sometimes that's enough.
Especially when you're looking for a gift for somebody who is notoriously hard to shop for and you'd rather give them something they'll actually laugh about instead of another generic mug or pair of socks.
OldAsspirin is ridiculous, completely unnecessary, and honestly pretty damn clever.
And those are exactly the kinds of things that make me stop scrolling and go:
"OH MY GOD. I HAVE TO SHOW SOMEBODY THIS." π
π Want to Take a Look?
If you're sitting there thinking, βOkay Cherylβ¦ somebody I know absolutely needs this prescription,β I completely understand. π

β€οΈ Cherylβs Treasure Chest Verdict
Oh, I'm absolutely keeping this one in the WTF?! pile. π
It's funny, it's unexpected, it's actually edible, and it gives you about a thousand opportunities to mess with somebody you love.
Would I buy this for someone?
Hell yes.
Would I give it to somebody who takes themselves way too seriously?
Absolutely fucking yes. ππ
Until next time, happy treasure hunting! π§°β¨
