FAQs

Every piece is a mix of deep-carving and precision etching. Bryan uses a variety of shop tools to get those close, bold lines you see in our porch sign and wall decor. We build them sturdy enough to hand a Texas porch and look good doing it.
-
That's high-voltage fractal burning. We use electricity to sear wild, unpredictable patterns into the grain. Because electricity has a mind of its own, no two pieces are ever the same. You're getting a true one-of-a-kind original.
-
Absolutely. Personalization is our bread and butter. Whether it's a family name on a cutting board or a specific "smart-ass" quote on a tumbler, we love making it yours. Just holler at us on the Contact page for custom requests.

On many of our carved and lightning-burnt pieces, we use a high-grade, glass-like epoxy to create "rivers" of color. It fills the deep grooves and creates a smooth, durable finish that makes the grain pop. It's where the "Gritty" wood meets a little bit of "Graceful" shine.
-
Treat these like the functional art they are. Keep them out of direct, blistering Texas sunlight for long periods to prevent fading, and never put them in the microwave or dishwasher. A damp microfiber cloth and a little mild soap are all you need to keep that "river" shining. If it's a cutting board, just remember; cut on the wood, not the epoxy, the keep the surface crystal clear.
-
Wood is a natural element. Don't drown it in the dishwasher! Hand-wash only, dry it immediately, and hit it with some food-grade mineral oil whenever it starts looking thirsty.
-
We like our gear comfortable but rugged. Most of our sweatshirts and tees are unisex sizing. If you like that "extra grace" oversized feel, we recommend sizing up.
-
Because Cheryl believes faith should be unfiltered. We designed these for people who know they're a bit of a mess but know exactly who's holding them together.
-
Not usually. Because our apparel and woodshop projects are handled in two different parts of the Outpost, they often hit the trail at different times. We want to get your gear to you as fast as possible, so we ship items as soon as they're ready rather than making you wait for the whole haul to be finished. You'll get a tracking number for each piece of the journey.
-
Quality takes grit. For custom-carved or etched wood pieces, expect a 2-to-4 week lead time. Merch usually ships withing 5-7 business days. We'll send you an email the second your gear is headed your way.
-
If we aren't in the shop, we're likely out on a hidden Texas trail with "The Bunch" (the grandbabies). If we finally catch him, you will be the first to know.
