What a life
A tide that rises, then retreats,
A dance of joy and silent grief,
No warning signs, no calm release.
It comes and goes as it desires,
Unmoved by dreams, untouched by plans.
One breath is laughter, warm and loud,
The next, a tear you didn’t command.
If only we could choose our fate
To walk where only sunlight lies.
But life is stitched with storm and calm,
With sudden night, and fleeting day.
It gives, it takes, and gives again,
No plea can stop its restless spin.
Still in its chaos, light appears.
A blossom blooming deep within.
So when it hurts, and shadows fall,
Remember still: you’ve known the light.
And even when the skies turn grey,
There’s beauty dancing in the fight.
