How to you look after your mental and physical wellbeing?
We are all so busy with work, our families, social events etc. that we do too much and can become ill.
Saying 'no' is hard but we need to learn to say no and not feel guilty and put ourselves first for a change.
We book dentist appointments and plan our work day but do you actually plan or book a self-care day? Probably not.
If you can't do a day, how about 1 hour a week in the evening or weekend just for you.
What would you do?
Go to bed early and read?
Run a bubble bath and pop on a facemask?
Go for a walk on your own?
Listen to a podcast?
Start a new hobby?
Do some meditation or yoga?
The list is endless.
By putting yourself first, you will be strong to be there for others who depend on you.
Also start saying 'no' to something you really don't want to go to when normally you would just put up with it. Or say 'no' to a night out because you really need an early night. Don't be afraid. Start small and it will become easier and you will feel less guilty.
So go on, plan that selfcare hour, day or even the weekend. What will you do first?
