I have always liked women who seem to have written their own rules. Not necessarily the loudest women in the room, or the ones with the best clothes, but the ones who know exactly what they like and don't seem particularly interested in explaining it.
Maybe that's what makes someone a muse. You see them once and something sticks. A haircut. A voice. A pair of sunglasses. The way they look in a photograph from twenty years ago and somehow still look completely right.
The Kut's first list of muses is less about influence in the traditional sense and more about recognition. That feeling of seeing something in another woman and thinking: yes. That.
The list will change. It should.
