Preparing Our Hearts for Holy Week

Today we remember the moment Jesus entered Jerusalem—greeted with praise, palm branches, and expectation. Palm Sunday reminds us that even in celebration, God is working through a bigger story—one that leads to sacrifice, grace, and redemption.

Even more humbling, Jesus knew exactly what was ahead. He walked into Jerusalem fully aware of the suffering, rejection, and the cross He would soon endure. Still, He chose to move forward in obedience and love. What looked like a moment of triumph was also the beginning of His path to sacrifice—for us. A man who knew no sin took on the sins of the world—for you and for me. Let that sink in.

As you sit with your journal today, consider this:

• Where am I welcoming Jesus into my life right now?

• Am I praising Him only in the highs or trusting Him in the unknown ahead?

• What does surrender look like for me this week?

Take a moment to slow down, write, and reflect. Let your words be an offering of praise—not just for what He’s done, but for who He is.
