When you peek inside The Rebel Lore Vault, you're bombarded with quite a few different series. So, where do you start if you're new here?
There's only one valid answer: Catenarian Chronicles, a dark paranormal fantasy series whose soft dystopian background resembles our world a little too much.
Think of Kaija Jokiharju's (pronounced Kai-yah Yoki-har-you) world as a national security state that monitors her every move. If one jumps out of line, they may find themselves institutionalized overnight.
And worse yet, if one claims to possess supernatural ability, they'll also be on their way to an institution. That's bad news for Kaija, since she's chatting it up with a drowned ghost and inadvertently controlling water early on.
You can read the beginning of Kaija's journey in Cursed Mage, before moving on to Astray Mage. And if there's one thing Kaija's going to learn the hard way, it's that there are hardly any "good guys" among the power-seeking Mages.
The dark paranormal Catenarian Chronicles is your key entry point
Cursed Mage is also the gateway into the larger Renegades Epic—a shared universe where characters and worlds eventually collide. But you don’t need to worry about any of that yet. Kaija’s story stands on its own, it's the most genre-friendly, and the easiest to follow.
Get Cursed Mage today at The Rebel Lore Vault, and immerse yourself in a world that would love to use Kaija for the rare power she possesses.
