★★★★★ "The world-building is unmatched compared to anything I’ve read before." - Nancy Allen

Her magic was meant to make her powerful. Now it’s dragging her toward a secret built on lies.

Yote Diamondback spent years under her father’s relentless drills, learning magic until her hands ached — and living in her sister’s shadow.

When she’s offered the chance to attend a legendary elemental academy, Yote sees more than just a school. She sees freedom, challenge, and the chance to define herself on her own terms.

But freedom comes with a cost. Unsettling visions and buried family secrets push her toward a future someone else planned.

The truth she uncovers could shatter everything she’s ever believed. If she can’t master her power and face it head-on, she risks losing more than her newfound freedom.

The Arcane Prophecy isn’t another copy-and-paste YA tale about factions and brooding heroes. It’s a story about a girl fighting for her own future, no matter who tries to write it for her.

I did not see the end coming!
Yote Diamondback rocks! The Arcane Prophecy is a stunning family drama/political intrigue/young adult stepping into her power/Elemental magic user story, with fantastic world-building and such robust characters that I felt I knew them previously, but temporarily forgot.

The Arcane Prophecy is A Young Adult Academy Fantasy by TC Marti.

Yote Rattlesnake has finally entered that excellent academy of elemental magic. In that world magic and fate were entirely linked. She was at last free from the heavy influence of her family and from her older sister, Jet, who is extremely powerful. For the first time Yote was able to be herself. At home everyone had been watching her and their expectations had kept her in check so much that she couldn't even breathe. But at the academy no one told her what to do and she could choose her own path, finally being able to use the power that had always been inside her – a power which she had never before dared to touch.

It wasn't only about lessons; it also gave Yote a safe place to clear her mind. She had the opportunity to delve properly into elemental magic and ancient runes, both of which contained a great many old secrets. She met friends with whom she could face difficult times, but also faced unexpected betrayal. Each challenge tested her and helped her figure out what she truly wanted in life. The world was full of mysteries and magic, continually bringing new wonders. Each day brought her a little closer to who she was meant to be, making her future a bit clearer.

The Arcane Prophecy by TC Marti immerses you in a world in which magic is not merely a collection of dry rules but a vibrant, living power that you can almost sense. The book keeps you in a state of suspense through its continual revelations, making it impossible to stop reading. The world-building is extremely detailed and imaginative – truly, no other work comes anywhere near it. It's obvious that the author has put in a great deal of effort into each aspect. The fierce rivalry between Yote and Jet brings about strong emotions and ensures that the plot progresses at a rapid pace. You'll never forget this story.

The story has a powerful hold on you and remains with you; even after you've finished reading it, you'll find yourself thinking about those emotional and exciting scenes. If you're looking for a book that successfully combines magic, adventure, and genuine emotions, then there's no need to wait – buy The Arcane Prophecy at once and get lost in it.

Set in Etharia, we meet Yote and Jett Diamondback . The story begins with the two girls training and competing with each other to ensure they gain admittance to the elitist training academy, Lamerth. Yote fails the entrance requirements and enrols at the Arcane Elemental Acardemy and here the real story begins. On the face of it, Yote’s life away from the family appears to flourish, the non-traditional way of teaching at the Academy suits Yote’s personality but then the story takes a sinister turn and the real reason for Yote being there is revealed.

Well written, the sibling rivalry has an edge to it that makes the reader wonder if there is more to the competition than just rivalry. The elemental magic is intriguing and well thought out. I enjoyed the twists and turns where friends become enemies and suspected enemies are actually allies in disguise. It’s an excellent tale, well worth the read and hopefully the next in the series will be just as good.

When Yote Diamondback gets the chance to go to a famous elemental academy, she eagerly takes it. At the academy, Yote feels completely at ease. I believe the main reason she enjoys the school so much is that it is far from her home and family. It’s far away in more ways than just the distance on the road.

The school represents a break from her parents and the pressure of living in her sister Jett's shadow. Yote feels she can now make her own choices and is free, both mentally and physically, to pursue what she wants and how she wants, without anyone telling her what to do, to become the person she aspires to be, twenty-four hours a day, so to speak.

At this new school, Yote meets new people and makes friends. She hopes to spend her high school years here, but her parents have different plans for her in the future.

I think I will enjoy this school almost as much as Yote does as she learns to harness her magic and discovers more about elemental magic and runes. All the while, she is figuring out who her true friends are and who might not be genuine. I can’t wait to dive into more books in this world of Arcane magic.

The Arcane Prophecy is a captivating story that will linger with me long after I finish the last page. The world-building is unmatched compared to anything I’ve read before. The Arcane Prophecy pulled me into its universe the moment I started reading. I enjoyed getting to know Yote and her sister Jett, and I appreciated their competitive nature.

I strongly recommend picking up a copy of The Arcane Prophecy today!
