Step 1: Apply to Join
Start by filling out the VA Application Form. This gives me insight into your skills, services, experience, availability, and vibe.
Step 2: 1:1 Interview
If I see a potential fit, you’ll be invited to a short 1:1 Google Meet interview with me. This is our chance to explore how you communicate, what kinds of clients you work best with, and whether there’s strong alignment for future placement.
Step 3: Task Scenario & Communication Test
If the interview goes well, you’ll be invited to complete a real-world task scenario and response test. This helps me assess how you think, solve problems, and communicate with potential clients.
Step 4: Shortlisting
Once you pass the testing phase, you’ll be officially added to my shortlist for client matches. When a business owner comes in that aligns with your vibe, skillset, and availability—you’ll be considered for placement.
Step 5: Match Presentation
If selected, I’ll send you the client profile, details about the work, expected hours, and what they’re looking for. You get to decide if it feels aligned before moving forward. You’ll never be forced into a role.
Step 6: Placement & Onboarding
If both sides say yes, you’ll receive a custom onboarding SOP with everything you need to integrate smoothly into the client’s business.
Step 7: Post-Placement Support
I don’t just match and disappear. I check in with you at Day 7, Day 14, and Day 30 to make sure the role is working for you—and to support you if anything needs to shift.
Important Things to Know
- You are NOT paid by The Remote Catalyst. The client (company) pays you directly.
- You are NOT guaranteed placement. Being in the directory means you're eligible to be matched—not promised work.
- You have full choice and consent. You get to decide if a client and role are a good fit for you.
- You set your own rates. I do not dictate what you charge, but I will let you know the client’s budget range.
- This is not an employment contract. You are an independent contractor and fully responsible for negotiating your own rates and terms.
