Yall this morning, something powerful caught my spirit after reading my bible plans and then this pic came across my feed. Listen I love when God reveals or reinforces the things that mean something to me. And today was the day. My reflection time put the idea of returning to that childlike faith into my spirit. You know, back when we believed anything was possible without a shadow of a doubt?
Reflecting on the rollercoaster of life—the triumphs and trials—I felt this deep pull to get back to that space. To trust, to dream, to leap without fear. And that’s exactly what we’re diving into. For us solopreneurs braving this unpredictable journey, tapping back into that pure, unshakable, reckless faith isn’t just beneficial; it’s vital. It's all a part of the holistic model I run my business with. I want to give both tips on business building, writing and, matters of the heart. Because when you aren't tapped into self, your mind is clouded, distracted, and a hindrance. Let's get into how to do this:
The Essence of Childlike Faith:
Childlike faith is all about pure, untainted trust. It’s bold, it’s brave, and it sees beyond the now to the what-could-be. It doesn’t recognize the word "impossible." In our businesses, this means looking past the hurdles and seeing the triumphs waiting on the other side. It’s about daring to innovate and being bold enough to dream big.
The Amnesia of Adulthood:
Life has a way of testing us, of making us forget that fearless little girl who believed she could conquer the world. We’ve faced setbacks, heard "no" more times than we can count, and maybe even watched a dream or two fall apart. But, honey, those moments, while they shape us, they don’t define us. For us stepping out on faith in our ventures, we can’t afford to let a grown-up mindset limit our shine. Because it will, you and I both know it.
Waking UP Your Spiritual Memory:
To get back to that place of limitless faith and boundless joy, we need to wake up our memory, and here's how:
Practicing Trust: Just like we trusted without question as kids, let’s start trusting in our power and in the journey God has us on. He’s got us, always. Your confidence in what you can do is your JOB and fight.
Embracing Curiosity: Let’s keep that wonder alive, always asking, always exploring. There’s magic in discovery, and it’s waiting for us in every aspect of our business and life.
Seeking Joy in the Process: Find joy in the grind, in the hustle, and in every small victory. Joy is our strength, our fuel.
This next one is going to be long, and low-key needs its own blog, but it's so good😂
Letting Go of Fear: Fear? We don’t entertain her, baby. We’ve taken tumbles, brushed ourselves off, and risen stronger each time. Every "no," every stumble, simply paves the way to our triumphant "yes." But let's get real for a moment—while we’re dismissing fear’s hold over us, it's crucial to recognize there are two sides to this complex emotion: Destructive Fear and Constructive Fear. Understanding the difference between them isn’t about denying ourselves the instinct of fear, but rather, learning to discern its nature and impact on our lives.
Destructive Fear:
Destructive fear is the dream-killer. It’s that voice telling you you're not enough, that your goals are too big, or that you're bound to fail. This fear thrives on uncertainty and doubt, clouding our judgment and paralyzing us into paralysis. It’s the type of fear that holds us back from pursuing our passions, taking necessary risks, or stepping out of our comfort zones. Destructive fear magnifies risks and underestimates our capabilities and the power of our resilience. DO YOU HEAR ME?
Constructive Fear:
On the flip side, Constructive Fear acts as our guardian. It’s the gut feeling cautioning us when something genuinely isn’t right, guiding us to tread carefully in certain situations. This fear has a purpose; it serves to protect us from genuine harm and encourages prudence and preparation. Constructive fear prompts us to prepare thoroughly for the tasks at hand, to strategize effectively, and to approach our endeavors with wisdom and discernment. It’s the type of fear that, when listened to correctly, can steer us away from real danger and toward thoughtful, informed decisions.
It's not about living a life void of fear—that's not realistic nor particularly safe. The key lies in our ability to decipher which type of fear is speaking to us at any given moment. Is it the kind that wants to keep us small, or is it the kind that seeks to keep us safe? Recognizing the difference allows us to pause and evaluate our next steps wisely.
John Bevere, in "The Awe of God," touches on this beautifully, urging us to discern the awe-inspiring fear of God—a reverence that empowers and protects us—against the fear that cripples and confines us.
Let's get back to waking up our spiritual memory. He's done it before and he will do it again. You've done it before and you will do it again!

Let’s not forget, we’re not just dreaming; we’re manifesting. Every step, every setback, every victory is crafting us into the phenomenal women we’re meant to be.
