The Season I'm In

Hello, my amazing Author Babes!

What are you learning about the season you are in?

This journal prompt popped up in my email yesterday and I've been pondering on it since. Pondering it because it's made me stop and think. It's made me want to search deep for an answer.

But first, the card pull of the week:

26. Approved! You are enough: If you are seeking someone to validate your work or effort, here it is! We see you, and we LOVE you! Your angels want to send you this message: YOU ARE ENOUGH! Nothing added would make you any greater, nothing taken away would make you any less. You are pure, free, forever.

I needed this, and my angels always know. Because I've been struggling. Today's email will be a little different. Different because I plan to answer the journal prompt from above.

So again: What are you learning about the season you are in?

This season has taught me the importance of preparation and never getting too comfortable. I've learned that in an ever-changing world of authors and small business owners, being prepared is not just a virtue but a necessity. Whether I seek inspiration or strive for success in my business, having a well-thought-out plan and the ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges can make all the difference.

A few years ago, I took a job working with a small business as a salaried employee. I was ecstatic, and it felt like a blessing. It was a blessing, but I got comfortable. I failed to prepare for the what if's. I'm optimistic, and sometimes that part of me fails me. I settle in. I go full throttle... because I believe nothing too bad can go wrong, and if it does, adjust and pivot. However, when you've been far removed from your own passion, it can be challenging and feel like climbing a mountain to get back to it.

Sometimes that's not always the case. My job has been placed on hold since March. It's been a different feeling because that stability, sure thing, is GONE for now.

And because I put all my eggs in this basket, I've felt like a fish out of water. Asking myself what should I do, and what part of my business can I revive? Does my audience still trust me? Do I even still have an audience?

The truth is, I'm starting over. So I thank you for being here. I'm preparing to come back and stay back. I will get my VA business back. I will get back to releasing books. I will get back to coaching.

For now, I'm taking these steps:

1. I'm setting clear goals. Building the trust back is my top priority.

2. Be flexible and true to me. This happened yesterday when I offered my class for free.

3. Build a support network. People believe in me and have filled my cup. I'm grateful.

4. Continued learning and improvement. A new list, a new website, a new mindset, a new class, who dis?

5. Being resilient but also preparing for what can come. Not dwelling there but acknowledging it.

I've decided to equip myself with the tools needed to navigate the ever-changing landscape of being an entrepreneur. Remember, success rarely comes overnight, but with dedication, preparedness, and a steadfast commitment to your craft or business, you can achieve your dreams and reach new heights of accomplishment. So, embrace the art of being prepared and watch your journey unfold purposefully and confidently.

Wishing you a week filled with inspiration, breakthroughs, and the unwavering courage to pursue your writing dreams.

Keep writing and keep believing in yourself!

With Love,

Chasity
