.....as a boy, I was always intrigued by the farthest land east, of Irian Jaya, in the territory border of Indonesia.
My heart has long wanting to be there in Irian Jaya, known today as Papua.
And it was 14 years ago at the age of 40 yrs old, only then that I finally had the chance to set foot on that beloved land; trekking at the highlands of the Baliem Valley, home of the Dani people.
What made it even special was that, I were there with my family - with my ever willing wife, to go for a trekking adventure there with our 02 young children tagging along too, the boy aged 06 and the girl 07 yrs old then, at that time.
Papua has ever since remained in our heart, and the trip been one of our best, memorable adventure ever!

I thus love to be 'home' again to the land that had me dreaming of visiting as a boy; Papua is my ever intimate boyhood dreams!!
Merauke is to be visited next, to pay homage to the people of Asmat, and also the high tree-dwelling people of Kombai and the Korowai tribes.
With Sabang the start of the Indonesian border in the west at Aceh, Sumatra set foot some years back, the last frontier of the eastern border city of Merauke in Papua shall complete the loop of exploring Indonesia from one end of the territory to the other, then.
My heart ached to be 'home' where adventure brings me back to my boyhood dreams, being that curious boy I was back then.....
.....and still am,
today."
