......there is something about hiking, and the outdoors that could never be fully explained in words no matter how much willing we attempted to do so.
Our words, no matter how intelligently crafted they are, would always fall short to establish that innate, special bond we have with her.
This is because when we talk about hiking and the outdoors, it involves mother nature; with mother nature, we connect - not by words; truly, we connect by getting with her and through embracing what she gave us.

And in taking in, we are taught to love and respect life: what that of which we're given.
Over time, we then began to realise the education of life; that we've indeed been fortunate to experience her sheer affection - that we began, in the end, to understand and realise the need to respect and love her equally in as deepest intensity too.
Herein then is that connection that put us to embrace her and become the embodiment of all that senses within. No words could affix what about them are - we just knew how to love her and be part of that natural setting.
.....we become one with nature;
We are after all, part of nature.

When we return home to her (mother nature) we need no explanation but just that connection to begin feeling that serenity and peace again (that could have been missing all those whiles when we left her from our lives for that some time be).
There is such a longing, one like that of a child missing his mother - longing to return home to her affection and embrace.
The prolonged pandamic incurred even further that regrets, that remorse; that we should have been kinder to her, and had taken all the available seconds we had before, to spend time in her company and had taken well care of her too.
Love her;
Respect her.
She is all that we have now,
she's our mother nature."
