......for those who wants to have a quiet, cosy homestay setting in a rustic, yet modern setting in Perlis:
You may want to consider this place Kebun Mangga Harumanis Wan Pa - our pick would be that 'Rumah Sadiah' - a tiny home that we would always preferred it'll be, and tastefully designed & decorated to give it - its own personal, and that sweet charm of its own.
......and even the black-painted 'Rumah Mohd Yatim' or the flamboyant pink home of 'Rumah Chelian' looks awesome!!
The view there:
The lust greenery of the Nakawan Range bouldering the surrounding of Kebun Mangga Harumanis Wan Pa, adding to the sawah padi (paddy fields) around the homestay area.

We skipped staying here, though as we had set base with all our itineraries taking springboard from Kuala Perlis inland, for our next month trip in March.
But that 'Rumah Sadiah' will always be kept in our mind for a return.
You can complement your morning break there with a breakfast by the padi field a little down south the road to 'Warung Tepi Sawah' - about 20-25mins drive away; a nice restaurant set in the padi fields surrounding to give you the greenery view of padi fields with authentic local & kampung cuisines for an early morning rise.
For lunch, try deep-fried catfish with a varied choice of sambal belachan and kampung dishes & viand (ulam) at 'Anjung Keli' which is in the capital town of Kangar, some 25mins drive away.

These settings would give you a really tasteful rustic or kampung style homestay with a modern touch & liking for city folks like us, from the Lion City or other town area all over.
Keep this place in mind, if you ever wonder where to put up when in Perlis, and be there in the north state beginning somewhere in mid-March onwards for the annual 'HarumManis' - or the English translation for it - 'SweetFragrance' season:
A reference of Perlis' renowned export - the locally grown species of sweet, juicy & fragrant mangoes!!
And if you are indeed a manggo lover, then that adds another compelling reason to come over to the north - to:
Perlis Indra Kayangan!!"
