Writing Revolution Templates

The resource library contains over seventy editable templates to use in your instruction. You can download these to your computer and use them to create writing activities quickly and easily, with all formatting taken care of for you. The full set of templates is included in your membership.

I show you how to make the most of the Writing Revolution approach in your educational setting. I explain how I choose source material, how I determine what activities best match student needs, how I pace the activities, and how I use the activities recursively.

When you register and complete the Introductory Workshop, I invite you to join the Think Write Read Google Classroom where you can view and download all materials, templates, handouts and assignments. Note: a Gmail address is required for access to this classroom.

These templates, and all other items in the Resource Library are always free for members. You can preview the templates by clicking the button below.

General Literacy Resources

You also have access to prerecorded mini-workshops on specific literacy topics; information about teaching spelling, handwriting, grammar and syntax; and even a section on supporting the development of executive function skills. New resources are being added to the classroom space all the time.

Self-Regulated Strategy Development

Based on the work of Karen Harris and Steve Graham, this section of the classroom includes information about the goals of SRSD, how it can support independence in writing, and a set of downloadable student pages that take you through the POWERfuL writing process alongside your students.

To hear more about the POWERfuL writing process, listen to this podcast episode that I recorded with Bruce Howlett of For the Love of Literacy.

MeaningMaps - Discounted Access Code

Members are given discounted access to Meghan's new book and course, "MeaningMaps: Linking Thinking, Writing, and Reading for Integrated Literacy Success."

This material takes the Word Level, Sentence Level, and Text Level work from the Think Write Read approach, and brings it all together in a way that leverages the power of structure at the Idea Level. When learners understand how ideas relate to each other and how those ideas can be organised to show those relationships, then they can truly comprehend, use, memorise, and retrieve that knowledge on demand.
