Editing continues on the course. I appreciate the journey metaphor is going to be a reoccurring theme (well, Vagabond is in the title so can you do!), but one thing that I wasn't expecting was how far this reappraisal of the original material has taken me down the proverbial memory lane. For example, when I got to the Exercise Decision Chart it seemed necessary - almost fated - that I pay respects to the memory of practical martial arts teacher, Andras Millward, who sadly left us in 2016.
We are fortunate that there is still existing footage of Andras training at Vagabond Warriors seminars in the early 2010s. He wrote the article, "A Vagabond Warrior I shall be or How I learned to love the Switch", which I have attached here for your interest. The Switch isn't covered in Rogue but will be in a future course.
Andras is remembered in Rogue for his contribution to the Exercise Decision Chart. Taking me at my word that Vagabond Warriors is a ground-up teaching model, inviting constructive criticism in the interests of progress and adaption, he suggested certain changes be made to the chart as I was teaching it. We did just that in the lesson.
