The state of Florida and Governor Ron DeSantis has issued mandatory evacuations for the following Florida counties in Western Florida... Charlotte, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lee, Levy, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota Counties. Massive ten-foot storm surges are likely in Western Florida (NBC, 2022). This is not to mention the wind which could reach 129 miles per hour sustained if Hurricane Ian can reach Cat 3 requirements (SONFIRE ALMANACS LLC, 2022).
