Super Typhoon Noru has slammed into the Philippines. Early information indicates that it hit the Philippines as a category three storm which is considered major. Around 8,400 people were evacuated from Nuro's path. Damage has been reported in the form of electric poles downed and some possessions near the coastline were damaged according to early reports.
