Protests have erupted in Cuba over having no electricity after Hurricane Ian. The storm destroyed Cuba's electric grid and restoring power is a slow go for the main electric union in Cuba. They said it would take a long time to restore power across the whole country of Cuba. When the electricity goes down in Cuba it means no running water. Women and men have taken to the streets across Cuba to protest the slow restoration of power as they have lost food that has become spoiled because of no way to store it after the loss of electricity. There is no timeline of when Cub will have full restoration of electric power at this time. Heavy police presence in Cuban cities has been noticed to calm the protestors but at the time of this publication, it was not helping.
