About Me

Hey:) I’m Melanie, the creator behind Wildly Anchored.

I’m a daughter of the King, crazy about the amazing man I married over 24 years ago, and a mom to two beautiful children, ages 15 and 12.

I’m unqualified to homeschool, and yet called by God to do it. I still feel this way after homeschooling now for over 10 years!

I’ve come to learn that the richest learning being done in our homeschool is what’s being developed inside my children — their character.

As a result, I have a mission to share what we do in our homeschool and what God’s Word says about Him and about us to help us grow and mature in Him.

There’s nothing more precious than the Bible, which is why my focus has been mainly on creating Bible Studies For Kids and sharing our life as homeschoolers.

About Bible Studies For Kids

Each Bible Study For Kids has been prayerfully, thoughtfully and lovingly crafted for kids aged 7-11 (or thereabouts). Kids at this age are hungry to discover themselves and the world around them. It's the ideal age and beginning stage to helping kids learn to dig into scripture while you are their guide. We also believe that studying the Bible should be in-depth, fun and engaging, which is why our format of Bible Studies For Kids include the BIG idea, prayer, Bible reading and questions, discussion, vocabulary, scripture memory, praise and worship songs and activities. The ultimate purpose of studying the Bible is to have kids learn about Jesus personally and who they are through Him so that they can live this life following Him as His disciple and doing what He says, impacting the world around them by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Values

The Bible

We value the Bible. It is the inspired Word of God; the Truth. There is no higher standard and way of life than that of the scriptures contained in the Bible.

The Gospel

We value the Gospel. The Gospel is this: we are born sinners and in need of a Saviour. God sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to die for our sin. Jesus was buried, arose from the grave, and ascended to sit at the right hand of the Father. What Jesus did cleansed us from our sin and unrighteousness so that God could see us a righteous, forgiven and cleansed. As a result, we can now of our own choosing, have a personal relationship with God now and onto Heaven when we get there.

Accuracy

We value accuracy of scriptures in each Bible study. Personal opinion, false doctrine and teaching are prevalent as the Bible talks about.

Creativity

We value creativity as children of God, who are uniquely created by our Creator. Each Bible study is thoughtfully, prayerfully and uniquely created to share the gospel in the Bible accuracy.
