Making Rustic Wooden Heart Decor

This craft project captures a natural heartfelt charm, creating a rustic and heart warming decoration.

Materials:

Small wooden heart shapes (various sizes)

Two small, rustic-looking wooden tree shapes or branches

Red and brown acrylic paints

Small, artificial evergreen sprigs

Wood glue

Small twine or jute string

Optional: Glitter or iridescent paint for added sparkle

Instructions:

Prepare the Trees: Paint the two small tree shapes or branches brown, allowing them to dry completely. You can add texture using a dry brush technique for a more rustic look.

Paint the Hearts: Paint the larger wooden heart a deep red. Paint some of the smaller hearts red, and others in shades of brown and muted green to mimic the falling leaves in your image. Let them dry thoroughly.

Assemble the Piece: Glue the larger red heart between the two painted tree shapes. Securely attach the smaller hearts to the branches, creating the effect of them falling from the trees. You can add a touch of wood glue to the back of the smaller hearts for extra security.

Add Evergreens: Arrange the small evergreen sprigs around the base of the trees, gluing them in place to create a miniature evergreen forest.

Finishing Touches: Once the glue is completely dry, you can add a touch of glitter or iridescent paint to the smaller hearts for a whimsical sparkle. Tie a small piece of twine or jute string around the top of one of the trees for hanging.
