if you were expecting or hoping for something really interesting, i am sorry but i do have to disappoint you. before focusing on docs, my forte was graphic design and, as with most instagram admins, i had a 'spam' account to post whatever muse (past, present, prospective, etc) which i named @arielsoats -- purely because i, unbeknownst to me, could not get quaker oats out of my mind (despite not having had oats for a very long time) and the amalgamation sounded pretty cool, as if each of my edits were 'oats'. i planned to branch out and make a help account (to post resources & inspiration) and thought i should try to keep up with the foodie theme. '5 a day' kept popping into my head and, although i do not and have never planned to post 5 times a day, i thought the idea was neat. just like my edits were 'oats', my resources were like metaphorical pieces of my audience's 5 a day. (of course my resources do not actually serve as a substitute for any of your 5 a day, please eat some fruit, veggies and keep hydrated!)
my biggest underlying inspirations are @lemondaydream (doc creator on tumblr) and @immortalthirst (graphic designer on instagram). the first is who first inspired me to make google doc templates. i had never considered or imagined google docs could look so interesting until i stumbled across their work and the revelation fascinated me. i played around on docs for hours, flip-flopping between several different ideas as i tried to understand how certain looks might have been achieved. the rest is more or less history. the latter is the mastermind behind some of the greatest themes i have ever seen; they're incredibly dynamic and often busy in a way that's not overwhelming. my jaw has definitely dropped at least a couple times because of his work.
my next biggest inspiration sources come from media (films, books, shows, art, sometimes even music), pinterest and behance.
