The Burden of Legacy
What are you carrying? Have you considered if you are willing to carry the weight of all that building your legacy may require? I had to ask myself those same questions not long ago, in fact, just as I was writing these words to you. In this life, we will each have a burden to bear. Some we choose to pick up along the way, and others come by happenstance, but they all come on purpose. Maybe yours are family generational curses that you will be the one in your family to break. Maybe it's a bad choice or mistake you made that you refuse to forgive yourself for. Maybe that last season of your life cost you so much that you can't see your way out of the physical, mental, or financial strain. Perhaps, you're so buried down comparing your journey to someone else's that you can't see how beautiful your own path is. Maybe your burden is all of the above. The truth is, that whether your legacy comes from your multi-million-dollar family business or a generational curse you're trying to break, no matter if you're on the mountaintop on in the lowest valley, we each will carry something. In this book, I will discuss with you the parts of building a legacy that no amount of trust fund money, family heirloom, or physical asset can buy you out of. I'm talking about the intangibles of building a life that comes with carrying substantial burdens along the way, many of which you don't see coming and certainly can't sign a check to fix. My hope by the end of reading is that after learning from my recent experiences you become better equipped with the necessary tools to carry life's burdens more gracefully and become the "heavy weight" champion of your legacy.
