Echoes of the Script — Library Pop-Ups (Tennessee)
2) Intro block
Family-friendly mini-labs that introduce the Indus script through hands-on decoding prompts, symbol-hunt activities, and short walk-throughs of real inscriptions. Because we’re in East Tennessee, I use a brief Cherokee-syllabary bridge as a local on-ramp—just enough to show how writing systems work—then the focus shifts back to Indus signs, sign groups, and simple “falsifiability” checks. Pilot events are being developed with East Tennessee libraries.
Families receive take-home worksheets so they can keep decoding together after the event.
