Reading is both an effective and enjoyable way to expand vocabulary and improve reading comprehension. It allows us to immerse ourselves in the language and learn new structures naturally. Through repetition and regular exposure, we can absorb vocabulary and grammar with relatively little effort.
This book is designed to consolidate and expand vocabulary and grammar at A2 and B1 level. It serves as an ideal revision resource for intermediate learners and also provides a stimulating challenge for advanced beginners.
The book consists of stories and biographies. The stories portray people from different countries who have moved to Germany and are now finding their way in their new home. Through these narratives, readers learn a great deal of useful everyday vocabulary as well as gain insight into German customs and culture. Although the characters and events are fictional, their experiences reflect many of the real-life situations faced by immigrants.
The biographies immerse us in German history and culture and help us to describe creative activities and build up more abstract and sophisticated vocabulary.
