The Story Behind This Course

Domestic violence is often hidden behind closed doors, leaving survivors feeling isolated, misunderstood, and powerless. Understanding Domestic Violence: Awareness, Advocacy, and Healing was born from over a decade of experience supporting survivors, combined with my own journey of resilience as someone who has lived through domestic and sexual violence.

Through years of advocacy, coaching, and training, I have witnessed the profound impact that awareness, knowledge, and compassionate support can have on a survivor’s healing journey. This course was created to bridge that gap—providing not only information about the dynamics of domestic violence but also practical strategies for advocacy, safety, and empowerment.

Every lesson reflects a trauma-informed, culturally humble approach, designed to help participants understand the complexities of domestic violence, support survivors safely, and foster healing—for themselves and the communities they serve.
