While all Voie de Vie Yarn colorways are produced by hand with an eye toward color celebration and water conservation, sometimes either there are dyeing mistakes, discontinued colorways or bases, or something that makes the skein not quite ready for prime time.

The yarn is still awesome, so you benefit from a reduced price. I will list all the bases currently on sale, but the color will be a surprise. The lable will indicate why it is in a reduced bin. First come, first served. The bases currently on mystery sale offer are:

Best Blend is a sport weight yarn comprised of 40% merino, 40% alpaca, and 20% silk; 252 yards sold in 100 gram skeins. This base tends to mute dyes slightly but the end result is satisfying harmonious and incredibly next-to-skin soft. This base is great for small accessories worn next to the skin.

Smooth Sock is a sock weight yarn (obviously!); 100 superwash merino, 438 yards sold in 100 gram skeins, as well as one 150 gram skein! This base takes dye clearly and vibrantly. This yarn is great for lace, all kinds of accessories beyond socks, as well as light-weight garments.

MoCo Fingering a blend of 50% wool and 50% cotton; 435 yards sold in 100 gram skeins. This base takes all dyes slightly lighter due to cotton in the fiber mix, producing a lovely almost tonal quality to the finished skein. This base is great for summer and in-between season garments and accessories.

Pacawool is a worsted weight yarn blend of 50% wool and 50% alpaca; 219 yards sold in 100 gram skeins. This base is great for both accessories and garments and produces a soft, warm finished object with lovely color and a slight halo.

TnT Worsted is a worsted weight single ply 100% merino wool yarn; 210 yards sold in 100 gram skeins. This base is excellent for cold weather accessories and produces an uber soft finished object with saturated color.

Year of the Rabbit is a fingering weight yarn blend of 80% merino and 20% angora; 219 yards sold in 50 gram skeins. This blend takes dyes in a slightly muted manner; the result is a lovely, soft yarn with a slight halo. This blend is wonderful not only for accessories but for early season cold weather garments.
