Flying Without Wings is a bottom-up crescent-shaped shawl. It has a lace border with three rows of feathers representing a wing, a garter stitch body and an eyelet edging.

It will look stunning in any solid or semi-solid yarn and can easily be adjusted for other yarn weights, like lace or sport weight. At the end of the pattern, there are instructions for widening or shorting the shawl and for increasing or decreasing the depth.

The pattern includes both charts and written instructions, so however you prefer to read your patterns, this has you covered! The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted. There’s a screenshot of the pattern, and a list of the stitches used at the bottom of the photos.
